Our objectives: to provide in partnership with parents/whānau, early childhood education and other social development and educational activities for children under the age of 6 living in the Aro Valley, and in furtherance of this aim; implement Te Whāriki, the New Zealand curriculum for early childhood education and operate the preschool in accordance with the preschool’s values and philosophy; to ensure that suitable facilities, resources and equipment and appropriately qualified teachers are available for these activities; to ensure that the Co-operative is properly managed in accordance with its Constitution, legislation, Ministry of Education requirements and as determined by its members; to ensure parent/whānau and community engagement in the management and operation of the Co-operative.
