Dementia Canterbury works to make life better for all people affected by dementia. It does this by; • providing support, advice and education for people with dementia and their family/whanau, friends and caregivers. • education for the general public, helping professions and medical professionals of the problems associated with stigma. • stimulating research [including social] to improve the management of all dementias in NZ. • raising community and government awareness and encouraging action by highlighting the needs of people with dementia, their whanau, and caregivers.
