Wellington appoints Chief Customer Officer
Wellington Drive Technologies Limited (NZX: WDT), the world’s leading provider of IoT solutions and high
efficiency motors for commercial refrigeration, has appointed David Burden to the role of Chief Customer
Officer. David was previously the Vice President of Global Marketing and IoT products. In his new role, David
will lead the customer success, commercial, and marketing teams.
David Burden joined Wellington through the acquisition of iProximity Pty Ltd in 2018. As the co-founder and
CEO of iProximity, he developed an advanced IoT platform, which is now a key part of Wellington’s
Connect™ IoT ecosystem.
Wellington CEO Greg Balla said: “David has extensive experience in conceiving and growing technology
companies. He has always been in the trenches, leading the commercial team from the front. David’s teams
have always performed; his commercial acumen and expertise in using technology solutions will help our
