Infratil announces new Chair

Infratil today announced that Mark Tume will retire as Chair on 30 May with current board director

Alison Gerry succeeding him. Mr Tume has served as Chair since 2013, he has been on Infratil’s

Board since 2007. Mr Tume will remain on the Board as a director until the end of 2022.

Mark Tume said the time was right to step down and it was pleasing to be able to do so with

continuing excellent results, and with Infratil recently acknowledged as New Zealand’s Company of

the Year in the Deloitte Top 200.

“It has been an honour to lead the Infratil Board. The last 12 months have been exceptionally busy

with a number of significant transactions and also the transition to a new chief executive, with Jason

Boyes taking over from Marko Bogoievski.

“I have great confidence that with Alison as Chair, and a very capable Board and management team,

Infratil will continue to deliver outstanding results for shareholders.”

Incoming chair Alison Gerry steps up to the role having been an independent director on Infratil’s Board

and Chair of the Audit and Risk Committee since 2014. She has had a governance career for the last

15 years and is also on the boards of ANZ Bank and Air New Zealand, Chair of Sharesies and Co-

founder of OnBeingBold.

“On behalf of all the directors, I’d like to thank Mark for the wisdom and collaborative style of leadership

he has demonstrated throughout his tenure as Infratil Chair.

“One of Infratil’s strengths is the quality of its Board. We will continue to provide a clear strategic

direction to management, constructively challenge, and demand excellent execution,” Ms Gerry said.

Infratil CEO Jason Boyes said

“In 2007, Infratil’s market capitalisation was $1.23 billion and it is now $5.62 billion, Mark has been

part of Infratil’s transition into a global infrastructure investor which is providing New Zealand

shareholders with exposure to a diverse portfolio across digital infrastructure, renewables, social

infrastructure and transport in multiple jurisdictions.

“Alison steps into the role after seven years on the Board, and so has a deep understanding of the

company and its focus in turning ‘ideas that matter’ into high-value businesses in sectors across

renewable energy, specialist health technology, and digital infrastructure. I am looking forward to

continuing to work with Alison in her new role.”
