ANNOUNCEMENT BY NEW TALISMAN GOLD MINES LIMITED

(NZX: NTL)

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

New Critical Minerals Strategy Provides Strong Momentum for Talisman Project and

Neighbouring Rahu Exploration

In Waihi last Friday, Resources Minister Rt Hon Shane Jones launched the Critical Minerals

Strategy alongside the finalised Critical Minerals List (CML) – which has been expanded to

include gold. The Minerals Strategy recognises the key role that our resources sector plays

in supporting the growth of the New Zealand economy.

This is tremendously positive for New Talisman’s projects at the historic Talisman mine and

Rahu Minerals Exploration tenement, both only a few kilometres from where the CML was

launched.

Quoting from the CML

“The Government will explore strategic pathways and wider system settings to

support the development and supply of the minerals on the list that are, or can be,

produced in New Zealand.”

The launch also provided an opportunity for NTL’s contingent to engage with the Minister,

MBIE officials and iwi representatives.

The Fast Track process, coupled with the inclusion of Gold in the Critical Minerals List ,

provides a clear pathway for NTL to proceed to Full Mining at Talisman – giving greater

certainty to our projects and fulfilling the aims of the Critical Minerals Strategy.

Background

In our recent Quarterly Activities Report the company announced its intention to reapply

through the Fast Track Authorisation Bill for its Full Mining Consent. New Talisman already

holds a Bulk Sampling consent, a five year Access Arrangement with DoC, and a Mining

Permit from NZ Petroleum and Minerals to 2034. It has a declared JORC Resource and has

recently taken delivery of a gravity concentration plant to process the Talisman ore. The

company remains on track to commence production in the first calendar quarter of 2025.
