Te Ara Mahi – E Tū Tangata - Māori Integrated Trade Training and Manākitanga (pastoral care) programme The Recipient will target hard to reach populations in Whanganui (gang affiliations, criminal records, mental health issues, drug and alcohol dependency) to deliver an integrated employment and trade training programme that will lead to building and sub-trade apprenticeships/employment. Funding will be used to support 2.5 FTEs, training costs for the participants and general operating costs, leading to a minimum of 32 training outcomes and 16 employment outcomes over two years. Te Ara Mahi funding will partially support this project, with co-funding from Te Puni Kokiri and in-kind co-funding supplementing this.
