Wi Pere Stock Fencing and Planting of Waterways The aim of the project was to erect 14km of fencing and plant 30 hectares of riparian areas in native vegetation. The Recipient would employ 4 new staff who would work alongside a supervisor and an experienced fencer. Planting operations would be overseen by regeneration expertise from the native nursery supplier. Stock will be excluded from waterways which flow into the Waiapoa River, improving water quality. These areas will be maintained by weed clearance and pest control allowing greater ecological diversity, on farm.
