The project aims to upgrade and realign stopbanks at the narrowest point of the Lower Wairau river, increasing protection to agricultural/horticultural assets, residential and commercial, state highway and local roading networks, rail, energy, schools and municipal infrastructure.

Marlborough Sounds Marine Access - Havelock

The project establishes a fit for purpose marine transport channel and berthage infrastructure to effectively service the aquaculture industry and the resilience need of Marlborough Sounds residents, businesses and communities.

Tasman District Council - Lower Motueka River Stopbanks Level of Service Upgrade

The project aims to construct new – and upgrade existing – stopbanks and associated flood resilience infrastructure at the Lower Motueka River (near Motueka) increasing protection to agricultural/horticultural assets, residential, commercial and industrial, state highway and local roading networks, aerodrome, port, schools, bridges, a crop and food research facility and municipal infrastructure.

Tasman CRP - Motueka River Refurbishment

To undertake flood resilience upgrade works in the Motueka region.

Nelson CRP - Saxton Creek Upgrade

To undertake flood resilience upgrade works in Stoke, Nelson.

Tasman District Council - Lower Motueka River Stopbank Refurbishment

To refurbish the Lower Motueka River stopbanks bringing the stopbank network up to a well-maintained condition, including placement of an extra width of compacted clay to the river side of the stopbank and lifting the height of the stopbank to provide protection to an acceptable level and increasing the crest width to allow for safe maintenance vehicle access along the stopbanks, protecting approximately 1,400 hectares of fertile and productive land that surrounds Motueka which houses orchards, homes, farms, and other businesses.

Port Tarakohe Upgrade

To undertake essential upgrade works to support commercial users of Port Tarakohe in Golden Bay, in particular the growing aquaculture industry.

Nelson City Council - Maitai Flood Management Project

To construct flood management infrastructure including rebuild of an existing reinforced concrete intake with connecting culvert upgrade, drainage diversion including intake and discharge structures, flood wall upgrade and approximately 350m of stopbank including potential localised realignment of existing stopbank, riverbank benching and road raising.

Nelson Port Slipway Development - Loan

To develop a slipway and hard stand at Port Nelson.

Establishment Te Whare a Wāina Aotearoa - New Zealand Wine Centre including an experimental future vineyard.

To develop an integrated national grape and wine campus creating a New Zealand Wine Centre of Excellence.

Marlborough District Council - Lower Wairau Flood Capacity Upgrade

To upgrade over 9km of stopbanks along the Lower Wairau, which is home to an historic Pā site and Māori land, featuring houses and businesses that are disproportionately affected by flooding.

Nelson City Council - Nelson Floods Repairs / Flood Risk Protection

To upgrade resilience infrastructure including approximately 50m of stream bank retaining works, stream culvert upgrades, localised stream channel improvements, secondary flowpath diversion works, drainage diversion to new wetland, raising a section of Athol Street to protect residential property, and realigning a section of the stopbank upstream of Glen Road.
